Accrington, Lancashire, United Kingdom Trostan Dene Full time

At Trostan Dene, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team on a one-year contract. This role offers a high chance of going permanent due to internal changes within the team.

The primary focus will be on managing customers and related administration on the accounts receivable ledger. While this is not a typical ledger, as customers generally pay on time, you will allocate cash, set up new customers, provide statements, and support the day-to-day AR activities. As the business evolves, you will take on more responsibilities in the overall accounts process.

To succeed in this role, you must have experience working on an AR ledger and demonstrate strong customer relationship development skills. A good understanding of the overall accounts process and transactional finance skills are essential. Additionally, proficiency in VLOOKUPS and Pivot tables is required. Attention to detail, organisation, and ability to work under tight deadlines are key attributes for this position.

This opportunity comes with a competitive salary of up to £30,000, flexible working hours, and the option to condense your hours to 4 working days with Fridays off. You will also enjoy 33 days of holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) plus additional benefits. Our close-knit team has recently upgraded our offices, and the group continuously invests in the business.
