Geriatrician Opportunity at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a skilled Geriatrician to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Geriatrician, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within General Internal Medicine and Geriatric medicine.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in Geriatric medicine. You will be part of a team of 6,500 staff who work from over 300 sites, caring for people in hospital and in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within General Internal Medicine and Geriatric medicine
  • Working closely with colleagues in primary, secondary, and intermediate care
  • Getting involved in admission prevention, virtual wards, proactive community services for older people living with frailty, advance care planning, and end-of-life care
Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice
  • Entry on the Specialist Register in Geriatric medicine
  • Holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Geriatric medicine or within 12 months of award of CCT by date of interview
