We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. This role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting the company's growth through strong governance and customer-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring Regulatory Changes: Assess regulatory updates, update compliance policies, and ensure effective communication across the business.
  • Document Review: Review and approve critical documents, including marketing materials, financial promotions, and presentations, to meet regulatory standards.
  • Compliance Monitoring Plan: Develop, implement, and manage a robust plan, ensuring internal systems and controls are in place.
  • Risk Management: Maintain the company Risk Register, conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Business Continuity: Oversee Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, ensuring the organization is prepared for potential disruptions.
  • Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement actionable insights to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Deliver compliance training programs, ensuring all staff remain competent and informed.
  • Culture of Compliance: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to embed a culture of compliance across all departments.
  • Third-Party Relationships: Conduct due diligence and oversight for third-party relationships, including introducers and appointed representatives.
  • Consumer Duty: Lead initiatives related to Consumer Duty, including product governance and fair value assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of retail insurance products and solid knowledge of FCA/PRA regulations, including ICOBS, SYSC, GDPR, and more.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze and interpret data to drive decision-making and implement effective change.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commercial awareness of evolving regulatory trends and focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes.
