The Hygiene Operative position involves carrying out comprehensive end-of-run plant cleaning, production cleaning, and associated tasks for a well-established food manufacturer in Stockport, Manchester. Our scope of work includes end-of-run production cleaning, floors and drains, hand-wash stations, high-levels, silo blocks, perimeter areas, and waste activities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various cleaning and hygiene tasks as outlined in cleaning instruction procedures.
- Ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality, and safety standards.
- Be responsible for disposing of waste material correctly in accordance with the client's environmental systems.
- Alert the Hygiene Shift Supervisor to any issues impacting the integrity of the clean.
- Participate in mandatory site training on health & safety, hygiene, and environmental issues.
In addition to a high standard of work ethics, you will also require:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work within time constraints both independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to follow procedures thoroughly.
- A positive and approachable demeanor.
- An enthusiasm for working in a varied environment.
Previous experience in cleaning and/or a food manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
