Job Title: Care and Care SurgeonAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care and Care Surgeon to join our team at Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dental service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality treatment planning, preventative, and NHS dental care treatment services for oral surgery patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership at base and designated clinics, and be available to clinicians for advice and support.
  2. Treatment Planning: Manage and provide high-quality treatment planning for oral surgery patients.
  3. Staff Management: Be responsible for the line management of clinicians and dental care professionals working within the service.
  4. Service Improvement: Be actively engaged in service improvement and maintain professional knowledge, skills, and awareness of current developments within dentistry.
  5. Professional Development: Participate in professional development activities, including clinical supervision, peer review, clinical governance, and audit.
  6. Record Keeping: Keep contemporaneous records in accordance with Trust protocols.
  7. Other Duties: Perform other duties as may be delegated by the Clinical Director or other authorised officer.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate additional clinical skills in the field of oral surgery and be able to independently provide tier 2 oral surgery services. You will also need to maintain and develop relationships with local GDPs and the LDN, and develop relationships with other parts of the health economy.
