Job Title: Group Head of Technical - Seafood

At Young's Seafood, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Group Head of Technical to lead our Seafood cluster. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and legality across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the cluster with diligence, independent judgment, and a values-led approach.
  • Develop and implement effective food safety and quality strategies to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Seafood Leadership team to drive continuous improvement and excellence in food safety and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry contacts.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Technical team to promote compliance and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Graduate calibre with Level 4 Food Hygiene and Advanced HACCP qualifications.
  • 5+ years of Senior Technical leadership experience in FMCG, audit standards, and audit preparedness.
  • Experience of working at senior level with UK Major retailers in the supply of own label and/or branded products.
  • Knowledge of Food safety legislation appropriate to food manufacturing, packing, and exporting products.
  • Confident in presentation, communication, and negotiation to executive level.
