We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Professional to join our team at The Aurora Group. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our children with their learning and wellbeing, ensuring every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with their learning and general wellbeing, adapting to individual needs as required.
  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils, promoting independence and personal development.
  • Contribute to providing high-quality educational activities and experiences, supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Support the class teacher in maintaining high expectations of behaviour and promoting positive behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent is desirable.
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD, ideally in an education setting.
  • Commitment to the role, with a focus on treating each child as an individual.
