Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Miles Recruitment. As a key member of our Data & Analytics Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative data solutions on the Azure platform.

Your primary focus will be on managing and optimizing data on Azure, ensuring that data scientists and analysts have access to clean, structured, and useful data. You will work closely with other IT specialists, including application developers, to ensure seamless data flow from different sources into the Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanse, map, and transform data to optimize it for storage and use in line with business and technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain innovative Azure-based data solutions.
  • Automate tasks and deploy production-level code with unit testing, version control, and continuous integration.
  • Load transformed data into storage and reporting structures such as data warehouses, real-time reporting systems, and analytics applications.
  • Troubleshoot and support the maintenance of data pipelines and data warehouse systems.
  • Work with stakeholders to help them understand and explore data to support their needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Azure Data Engineer or in a similar data engineering role.
  • Proven experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines and architectures.
  • Strong analytical skills, especially in working with unstructured data.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing well-written code.
  • Experience with data pipeline testing, from source to presentation layer including troubleshooting skills.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Experience with Azure services such as ADLS, Databricks, Stream Analytics, SQL DW, COSMOS DB, Azure Functions, and Serverless Architecture.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerFx, Azure Logic Apps, and SharePoint Online).
  • Experience in developing and enhancing PowerApps model-driven and canvas apps.
