Job Title: Regional Special Educational Needs Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Regional SENDCo to join our team at a well-established Special School in Clacton-on-Sea. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the SEN provision across multiple locations, ensuring that all students receive the necessary support to succeed both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement SEN strategies to support student development.
  • Liaise with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN interventions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff members on best practices for supporting students with SEN.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience as a SENDCo or in a leadership role within SEN is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) and a SENDCo qualification (or working towards it).
