Materials Handler

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Handler to join our team at Gregory Distribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

About the Role:

• Loading and unloading palletised goods from trailers, rigid vehicles, and vans using a Counterbalance forklift.
• Utilizing the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all goods with care and attention.
• Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required.
• Maintaining general housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment.
• Completing relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.

Requirements:

• Hold a current Counterbalance forklift licence (in-house training can be provided).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

• Competitive salary £24,960pa, based on working 40 hours per week.
