Senior Financial Accountant Opportunity

Moog Wolverhampton Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Wolverhampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to various departments, including contracts, programme management, operations, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Corporate Reporting: Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements and regulations.
  • Long-term Accounting: Develop and implement long-term accounting strategies to drive financial accountability.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the Finance team to develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Statutory Accounts: Prepare and submit statutory accounts to regulatory bodies.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Operational Accounting: Manage operational accounting processes, including cost analysis and management accounting.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance.
  • Reporting and Presenting: Present financial results to management and stakeholders.
  • Liaison with Group Finance: Collaborate with the Group Finance team in East Aurora, NY, US.
  • Sustainment of SAP S/4HANA: Ensure the continued implementation and support of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Development of Financial Reporting Schedules: Develop and maintain financial reporting schedules.
  • Development of Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaison with Internal/External Auditors: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Mentoring: Mentor a team of 3 Trainee Accountants.
  • Delegate for Reporting Manager and Finance Director: Act as a delegate for the Reporting Manager and Finance Director.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage workload and work as a team player
  • Able to work to strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of US GAAP (desirable)
