Job Overview

Band Deep Clean Domestic Assistant Based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

The Domestic Services team is responsible for maintaining high standards of environmental cleanliness. The Deep Clean Team plays a crucial role in this effort, performing general cleaning duties and specialized deep cleaning tasks. These tasks include cleaning after infectious illness outbreaks, terminal cleaning of vacated isolation rooms, and maintenance cleaning. The team is also trained to use specialized decontamination equipment, such as Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour equipment. While previous experience in the cleaning industry is beneficial, it is not essential. The successful candidates will receive on-the-job training and supervision. Uniform and protective clothing will be provided.

Main Duties of the Job

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Domestic Services Department. The posts will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, but the successful candidate will need to travel to Community Hospitals and Clinics. A shared vehicle will be available for this purpose. Therefore, please note that the ability to drive is essential for this role.

  • Hours per week, working a combination of am to pm and/or to pm, to provide cover where needed on a rota that includes Bank Holidays and weekends as per the needs of the service.

Rates of pay are £ per hour, with enhanced rates for work undertaken on a Saturday (£ per hour), Sunday (£ per hour).
