About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Planning Director to join our team. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for leading the planning function and ensuring that our development projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning function and develop strategies to achieve business objectives
- Manage a team of planners and provide guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
- Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals
- Conduct site visits and assessments to identify development opportunities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that planning requirements are met
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in planning, preferably in a residential development context
- Proven track record of delivering planning projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of planning policies and regulations in the UK
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
