Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Tutor to work with looked after children (LAC) across Calderdale. The ideal candidate will provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to help children and young people in care achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized tutoring in core subjects like English, Maths, and Science.
  • Collaborate with social workers, carers, and educational professionals to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies.
  • Prepare students for exams and develop study skills and strategies.


Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QLTS), PTTLS or relevant tutoring experience with at least a B.Ed, MA or PhD.
  • Experience working with LAC or vulnerable young people is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).


Estimated Salary:
£28,000 - £35,000 per annum.
