Job Title: Commissioning Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Process Engineer to join our team. As a Commissioning Process Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, commissioning, and maintenance of process cooling systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales and project teams to design process cooling systems that meet customer requirements and can be effectively commissioned and maintained.
  • Develop comprehensive commissioning packs for new projects, providing clear instructions to the service team to ensure successful system commissioning.
  • Provide hands-on support to onsite/over phone service engineers during system commissioning, ensuring completion of paperwork.
  • Take an active role in commissioning systems and contribute to training and supporting other engineers in the commissioning process.
  • Work closely with suppliers to understand commissioning and maintenance requirements for their equipment, conducting factory visits to obtain necessary documentation for service engineers.
  • Conduct system performance evaluations, measurements, and analysis to optimise cooling efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and commissioning activities, including repairs.
  • Train and mentor other technicians, ensuring quality standards are adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with a minimum of 10 years as a Process Cooling Service Engineer, specialising in breakdowns, fault finding, repair and commissioning.
  • Proficient in performing onsite breakdowns, commissioning and maintenance of process cooling systems.
  • Strong knowledge of process control systems, including refrigeration principles, electrical and mechanical components and control systems.
  • Deep understanding of mechanics behind cooling systems, including knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer principles.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with cooling systems, such as leaks, pump failures, pressure irregularities or insufficient heat transfer.
  • Able to work on own and to be capable of travelling throughout the UK and overseas.
  • Hold a current driving license and F Gas qualified.

The role is field-based and hours worked are classed as "door to door". Overtime is paid at premium rates.
