Job Title: Learning Support Professional in Scarborough

Salary: £18-£25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Professional to join our team of teaching assistants in primary schools across Scarborough. As a key member of our educational support team, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils who require additional help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN), as well as those who require extra help to engage with the curriculum.
  • Assist teachers with preparing and delivering engaging learning activities, ensuring that all pupils have access to a high-quality education.
  • Support pupils who may display challenging behavior, using your nurturing and patient approach to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C, including English and maths.
  • Previous experience working or volunteering in an educational or childcare setting.
  • A confident, outgoing, and nurturing personality, with a strong desire to support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
