About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our dynamic team at Asda Opticians, committed to excellence in healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and service, working alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support our departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct eye examinations, contact lens, and extended service examinations to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with our Dispensing Optician Manager to maintain departmental standards, provide training, and coaching to team members.
  • Support the development of new patient services and contribute to shaping the culture of the department.
  • Deliver a memorable customer experience by utilizing clinical skills and passion for the role.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
  • Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
  • MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us).
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
