Job Overview

Interaction - Northampton is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for traveling to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV or Agricultural industry.
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities.
  • Experience working on engines would be advantageous.
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience.
  • A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own.
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous).
  • Full UK Drivers License.

What We Offer
  • 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall).
  • All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (£21-£24 per hour).
  • A minimum of 5 hours of overtime available per week (average availability is 15-20 hours) Min (5 hours): Additional £5,460pa / Average (17 hours) : Additional £18,564pa.
  • Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an addition 5 days annual leave per annum.
