The TalentPool Company is offering a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum for this exciting Senior Buyer opportunity in Basingstoke.
This role will provide the ideal candidate with a chance to transition into a new industry and continue developing their skills within Procurement. Reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Manager, who has over 10 years of experience progressing through various positions, the successful applicant will be responsible for being the face of procurement at the site.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials
- Ongoing weekly procurement planning, utilising exception message reports and adjusting the order book accordingly
- Supporting supplier business reviews to enhance relationships and implementing action plans when recurrent supply issues arise
- Representing procurement at daily tiered meetings
- Sourcing alternative raw materials when supplier discontinuations occur
- Ensuring adherence to the overall purchasing process
Key Requirements:
- Proficient working knowledge of SAP (purchasing)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Supplier relationship management expertise
- Internal stakeholder management
