A welcoming, bright and child-oriented primary school based in Chippenham is currently recruiting for a Student Support Assistant to promote and support classroom learning in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or experienced Support Assistants to initiate their career in education. As a Student Support Assistant, you will engage, support and develop the learning of children, assist with the delivery of creative and well-planned lessons, and be the spark for a child's light-bulb moment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support learning across the curriculum in core subjects such as Maths and English
  • Work alongside specialist teachers to stimulate a dynamic and effective learning environment
  • Engage, support and develop the learning of children
Requirements

Relevant experience could include mentoring, coaching, tutoring, assisting in a nursery, childcare, or similar experience in a classroom setting. Supporting children with ASD, behavioural issues, and learning difficulties would be extremely beneficial for this role.

The appointee will support learning across the curriculum in core subjects such as Maths and English, as well as foundation subjects such as Geography and PE.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £80-£95 per day. This position is ideal for a recent graduate considering a career in education or an experienced Support Assistant looking for a new challenge.
