We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foundation Lecturer to join our team at Bath College. As a Foundation Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering excellent provision to a cohort of EHCP learners with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver learning programmes, including life skills, employability skills, and functional maths and English at Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, and Level 1, to a cohort of learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities and/or social, emotional, and mental health issues.
- Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials, and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- Co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students' learning.
- Communicate internal and external examination entry and timetable, where appropriate, to the curriculum and support team and learners as appropriate.
- Undertake classroom, workshop, and/or educational trip risk assessments as required.
- Work closely with the wider team of colleagues, including the SEND Coordinator and support staff in class, to support progression into wider college.
- PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLs, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C grade 4 and above, including Maths and English, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of a sensory-based learning environment with the Foundation Learning Provision.
- Demonstrate professional knowledge of curriculum development and innovative delivery.
