Job Title: CNC Machine Shop Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at Profiles Personnel. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance on identified plant equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on production machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Identify and troubleshoot problems with machinery and equipment, using your electrical and mechanical knowledge to resolve issues efficiently.
  3. React quickly to production breakdowns, communicating with relevant personnel to minimize downtime and ensure production requirements are met.
  4. Assist other departments as needed to support production goals and objectives.
  5. Collaborate with the design and manufacturing team to develop and implement new jigs and fixtures, using your mechanical and electrical expertise to improve production efficiency.
  6. Fabricate repair parts and date stamps using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  7. Manage equipment, parts, and supplies, anticipating needs to ensure seamless production operations.
  8. Oversee annual contracts with contractors, ensuring timely renewal and completion.
  9. Provide technical information and support to colleagues, answering questions and requests related to mechanical maintenance.
Requirements:
  1. City and Guilds 2330 - electrical installation qualification.
  2. NVQ Electrical Installation qualification.
  3. 17th BS7671:2008 knowledge.
  4. Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  5. Experience with ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls or similar, and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC Lathe controls or similar.
  6. PLC programming skills.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent English oral and written abilities.
  8. Good analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
