Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our friendly and award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high standards of personal care and creating a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Resident Care and Support: Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes that may impact on care and care plans, and ensuring that new needs are met and written records are amended to reflect any variations.
- Care Planning: Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
- Medication Support: Support residents with their medication requirements, ensuring that their needs are met and that they receive the best possible care.
- Staff Supervision and Development: Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development, helping them to grow and improve in their roles.
- Communication and Liaison: Act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

- An NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- A positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Please note that this role will require a DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
