About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our team at Contract Scotland. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee engineering tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement detailed engineering plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to maintain clear communication and ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits, ensuring the highest standards of quality control are maintained.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Section Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and project management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- A valid CSCS card and relevant health and safety certifications.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
