We are seeking a senior professional to join our Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director responsible for overseeing the club's finances.

This appointed Board role involves providing strategic direction, supporting decision-making processes, and upholding the values of equality and inclusivity. The ideal candidate will have a background in senior finance and experience managing professional staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Chairing the Audit and Risk Committee
  2. Oversight of the club's finances
  3. Providing strategic direction and support

The successful candidate will be able to commit to attending around 12 monthly Board meetings per year, with additional preparation time and attendance at ad-hoc meetings. Estimated time commitment is no more than 10 hours per month.

Requirements
  1. Degree-level education
  2. A qualified member of an accountancy institute (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA or CIPFA) or equivalent body
  3. Significant experience in finance, with at least five years in senior management
  4. Experience of managing professional staff
  5. Good working knowledge of how an effective Audit and Risk Committee operates
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits that reflect the importance we place on attracting and retaining top talent.
