About the Role:

We are seeking an outstanding and inspirational leader to join our dynamic Physical Education department as the Head of Girls PE. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of girls' physical education within a thriving school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Lead by example teaching high-quality PE lessons that foster a love of sport and physical activity amongst girls of all abilities.
    • Oversee the work of PE teachers within the Girls programme, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Girls PE programme, implementing improvements based on data analysis.
  • Relationships and Wellbeing:
    • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the Girls PE programme.
    • Promote the importance of physical and mental wellbeing amongst girls, encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.
    • Champion equal opportunities for all girls to participate and excel in PE and sports.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A highly qualified and experienced PE teacher with a proven track record of success in leading and developing PE programmes, particularly for girls.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of physical activity and sport in young women.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • A commitment to promoting equality and inclusivity within PE and sports.
  • Ability to utilise data to monitor progress and implement improvements within the programme.
