Job Title: Lead Process Engineer / Process Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Manager to join our team at Eleven Recruitment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team and be involved in a series of exciting challenges with one of the fastest-growing engineering consultancies in the UK.

You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment (office/homeworking) and travel across the UK to clients' sites. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing process expertise to ensure delivery of projects to tight timescales in accordance with client expectations.
  2. Supporting the Engineering Director in all aspects of Process Design to deliver engineering solutions at Concept, FEED, and detailed design project phases.
  3. Leading design projects independently and managing the process design team as a deputy.
  4. Developing sizing calculations for Process equipment (Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Distillation Columns, Compressors, Separators, Reactors, etc.) and providing information in the form of equipment datasheets.
  5. Providing design inputs to drafting.
  6. Reviewing design documents/drawings prepared by the design team.
  7. Keeping up to date with new developments of standards, process software, procedures, and implementing them in day-to-day work.
  8. Being proficient in the use of AutoCAD and chemical process simulators.
  9. Experience gained on production sites will be a plus, especially in the spirits sector.
  10. Performing site visits to complete site surveys, site meetings, and other site-related activities.
  11. Preparing process specifications, drawings (PFD, P&IDs, etc.), and process deliverables.
Qualifications
  1. Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
  2. Ideally chartered or working towards chartership.
  3. Proven core Process Engineering skills, including design experience.
  4. Familiarity with process design in a chemical process plants environment.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
