Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer to join our team at phs Group. As an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections and testing on electrical installations, including emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis, thermal imaging, and small remedial repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out inspections and testing on electrical installations, including emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis, thermal imaging, and small remedial repairs.
  • Complete all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection and testing using our cloud-based certification software.
  • Ensure all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time.
  • Carry out LED lighting replacements both in hours and out of hours, in line with the project schedule.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including evening and twilight shifts to support our customers' requirements.
  • Ability to travel to sites across ROI and the flexibility to stop over when required.
  • Full UK driving license with 6 points or less.
  • SVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent Level 3 NVQ.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395.
  • AM2 or equivalent.
  • IPAF 3a & 3b license.
  • Good level of IT literacy.
  • Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
  • Experience with electrical installation/project work, specifically commercial lighting replacements.
  • Understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
