Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Chatsworth High School and Community College. As a key member of our teaching support team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

About the Role:
  • Support students with complex needs, including autism, SLD, and PMLD, in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide high-quality support to students, promoting independence, self-confidence, and social skills.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the well-being and safety of all students.
Requirements:
  • Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, including autism, SLD, and PMLD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and the school.
