Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a small and supportive school in Colne. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and Autism.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will work within our specialist provision, delivering a trauma-informed approach to education. Our school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, helping pupils overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN and Autism in a specialist provision
  • Deliver a trauma-informed approach to education
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, Autism, or behavioural challenges
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in pupils' lives
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practices (desirable but not essential)
