Exotic Animal Care Manager

Longleat is an exciting place to work, offering a unique blend of history and wildlife. As an Exotic Animal Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our animals, while also providing an unforgettable experience for our guests.
This is a fixed-term contract ending on January 2025, with working hours to vary over a 7-day rota basis, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required. The earliest start time is 8 am, and the latest finish time is 8 pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
The salary for this role is up to £11.44 per hour, reflecting the importance of this position in ensuring the highest standards of animal care and welfare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our animal houses and enclosures, as well as engaging with guests and providing top-notch customer service.

About You
- You must have a full UK driving licence to apply for this position.
- You will have proven evidence of your interest and commitment to zoo and wildlife husbandry, having gained at least 18 months experience with exotic animals or domestic livestock.
- You will have gained at least 5 GCSE's or equivalent.
- You will have excellent communication skills allowing you to easily liaise with guests and colleagues across a variety of levels.
