Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Professional Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Professional to join our exceptional private hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of individualised care and ensuring seamless continuity of clinical practice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain PHG Policies and Clinical Guidelines in individualised nursing/ODP care.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure continuity of clinical practice.
  • Provide assistance to the surgeon/anaesthetist/nursing/ODP colleagues as required.
  • Act as a member of the surgical scrub team.
  • Co-operate with surgical staff to ensure correct positioning of patients for operative procedures.
  • Co-operate with staff to ensure prompt collection and dispatch of specimens.
  • Check, witness, and administer controlled drugs.
  • Co-operate with departmental and ward staff in sending patients to the operating department and returning patients to their wards.
  • Participate in pre and postoperative visits when required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a theatre scrub role.
  • Experience of working in the independent sector.
  • Evidence of clinical competence and regular clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated awareness of the importance of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Empathetic communication with patients and carers.

We offer a competitive salary of £33,000 - £38,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including a pension scheme, life assurance, employee assistance programme, medical insurance, cycle to work scheme, and more.
