We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Professional to join our team at Academics. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be committed to providing high-quality support to enable them to access education.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to gain invaluable experience working directly with children who require additional support. As a member of our team, you will work closely with a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist and SENCO to provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of each child.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy when working with children who exhibit challenging behavior. A calm and professional demeanor is essential in this role, as you will be working in a mainstream primary school environment.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting children with Autism, complex social needs, and associated challenging behavior. This is a long-term role with the potential to lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with SEN
  • Work alongside a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and SENCO
  • Develop and implement strategies to support children's learning and development
