Job Overview:

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Level 3 Apprentice at The Tree House Day Nursery in Wells. As a key member of the nursery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a small team to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records using digital methods (Tapestry).
  • Ensure the highest standards of childcare are upheld at all times.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding children and provide a safe and secure environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging learning opportunities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support senior staff members as needed.

Working Hours:

  • The nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
  • The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.

Requirements:

  • A Level 2 childcare qualification is required.
  • GCSE English and maths qualifications are necessary, with documentation required.
  • Computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Dedication to Early Years education and a positive attitude towards supporting children's development are crucial.
  • Good communication, punctuality, patience, reliability, and trustworthiness are essential qualities for this role.
  • One year's paid employment in a nursery or pre-school is essential.
  • Confidence and capability to use and update Tapestry are required.
