Transport Planner (Highways) Role

£45,000 - £50,000 + Profit Share Bonus + Regular Learning and Development + Individualised Training Courses

Fleet

We are seeking a transport planner or similar with experience in the design and planning of highways to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK Transport Planning standards and processes, as well as experience working with ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing transport assessments, statements, and travel plans, working collaboratively with the team and proactively supporting staff in developing their knowledge. You will regularly liaise with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities on projects and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare transport assessments, transport statements, and travel plans
  • Complete junction capacity assessments
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities
  • Ensure all assigned projects are delivered on-time and to budget
  • Conduct site visits and design surveys to provide reports and presentations

Requirements:

  • Degree or similar in Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering
  • Understanding of ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
  • Experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes
  • AutoCAD knowledge
