Field Trials Officer - Milton Keynes

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Trials Officer to join our client's team in Milton Keynes. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on agricultural field trials, with opportunities for professional growth and hands-on work with cutting-edge research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute field trials for agricultural research, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Operate and maintain agricultural machinery, including plot drills, tractors, and plot combines, to ensure efficient and safe trial operations.
  • Conduct thorough field assessments, including disease evaluation and crop physiology analysis, to inform trial design and outcomes.
  • Analyse data and provide statistical evaluations of trial results, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Travel to various sites and farms as needed for trial operations, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Report directly to the Trials Manager, ensuring open communication and timely updates on trial progress.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in field trials, with a strong understanding of agricultural research methods and techniques.
  • Proficient in operating agricultural machinery, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Relevant agricultural or land-based qualification, with a strong foundation in crop science and research methods.
  • Valid full driving license, with a clean driving record.

  • A competitive salary of £32,000 - £36,000 per year, depending on experience.
