Lead Electrical Engineer

CV Library is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems for our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a high-performing team to deliver electrical system requirements
  2. Collaborate with the NPI manager to ensure the team has the necessary knowledge and training
  3. Work with the project leader to develop project plans and meet project deliverables
  4. Ensure control and coordination of electrical design to meet specifications and cost-effective solutions
  5. Promote the use of new technologies and work with R&D teams
  6. Lead the system design intent, approve designs, calculations, and test specifications
  7. Identify, control, and mitigate engineering risks, escalating and agreeing on higher-level mitigation
  8. Make engineering decisions to select the best solution to engineering problems
  9. Develop relationships with internal and external customers/suppliers
Requirements:
  1. A good Engineering/Scientific degree
  2. Significant experience in product development in a high-technology environment, including leading engineering activities
  3. Detailed knowledge of engineering principles and standards relative to the role
  4. Experience of project coordination and management of teams, including leadership skills and high levels of energy with team engagement
  5. Knowledge of process improvement
  6. Technical/commercial awareness to balance potentially conflicting commercial and technical drivers
