Job Summary:

This is a senior leadership role within the Government of Western Australia, responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of strategic, highly complex and multi-disciplinary projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in disaster management and operational support, with experience in project planning, initiation, development, evaluation, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of strategic projects, including planning, initiating, developing, evaluating, and managing projects to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager Response Capability to support the Director in the development and implementation of the State Health Emergency Management Support Plan.
  • Develop and deliver the Disaster Management and Response system, including overseeing the logistic component of WA Health response to a disaster or emergency.
  • Provide expert strategic advice regarding relevant current, evolving, or emerging issues to facilitate informed executive decision-making.
  • Support the development and implementation of organisational and broader government objectives in relation to the disaster management cycle.
