Teaching Opportunity in Popular Music Performance

We are seeking an experienced guitar lecturer to join our team at BIMM University. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in popular music performance
  • Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on training to students
  • Contribute towards assessment and the marking of student work, providing constructive feedback
  • Stay updated with industry trends and integrate these into the curriculum
  • Mentor and support students, fostering their professional growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the course content

Requirements:

  • A graduate or postgraduate qualification in a music-related subject
  • A graduate or postgraduate qualification in education is advantageous but not essential
  • Significant teaching experience (at the higher education level is preferred but not essential)
  • Significant industry experience in music performance, bandleading, and composition and arranging
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
  • A flexible approach to work
