Job Summary

Tameside Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bereavement Services Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management of the administration team and for providing support to both the crematorium and cemetery operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee statutory functions and budgeting for the Bereavement Service
  • Lead key projects aimed at continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of a first-class Bereavement Service
  • Advise the Executive Cabinet and Senior Leadership Team on all matters relating to service processes and improvements

About the Role

The Bereavement Services Manager will be responsible for a range of administration and financial duties, including overseeing statutory functions and budgeting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading key projects aimed at continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of a first-class Bereavement Service.
