Plating Technologist

We are recruiting for a Plating Technologist to join our team at HOLT ENGINEERING RECRUITMENT LIMITED in Poole. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing metal parts for electroplating, mixing and preparing plating solutions, operating electroplating equipment, monitoring the electroplating process, inspecting finished parts for defects, and cleaning and maintaining electroplating equipment.

• Preparing metal parts for electroplating: This involves cleaning the parts to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
• Mixing and preparing plating solutions: The plating solutions are made up of various chemicals that are mixed together in specific proportions.
• Operating electroplating equipment: The equipment consists of a power source, a tank containing the plating solution, and electrodes.
• Monitoring the electroplating process: The Plating Technologist must monitor the electroplating process to ensure that the correct thickness and quality of plating is achieved.
• Inspecting finished parts for defects: Once the electroplating process is complete, the technologist must inspect the finished parts for defects.
• Cleaning and maintaining electroplating equipment: The equipment must be cleaned and maintained regularly to prevent corrosion and ensure that it operates properly.

• A competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
