Job Overview:

We are seeking a caring and responsible individual to provide support for a lady living in Berwick-upon-Tweed. The successful candidate will be working 24 hours per week at £16.88 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promptly administer prescribed medication as required
  • Assist with daily activities such as hair washing and drying, bath preparation, and subsequent bathroom cleaning
  • Prepare nutritious meals and manage kitchen tasks, including shopping and cupboard organization
  • Enable community outings, including driving the client to appointments and social events
  • Assist with wheelchair use and perform regular domestic tasks
  • Manage paperwork and simple computer tasks related to the client's care


Person Specification:
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
  • Honesty and respect for confidentiality are vital
  • The ability to follow instructions and use initiative is necessary
  • Pet-friendly environment; car driver required
  • Caring nature and common sense are essential
  • Interest in outdoors, animals, and nature is beneficial


Additional Requirements:
  • An Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS) is mandatory
  • Relevant experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for tasks and Health and Safety matters


Salary and Hours:
  • £16.88 per hour
  • 24 hours over 3 days, with flexibility for additional hours possible
