Nursery Educator Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursery Educator to join our team at ARK START St Clement. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.

You will work closely with our Nursery Manager and other educators to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a group of key worker children, including observations, assessments, and relationships with parents.
  • Ensure high-quality interactions with all children in the nursery.
  • Create an enabling environment where all children make good progress.
  • Ensure the nursery is safe and secure, following the Ark safeguarding policy and procedures.
  • Keep child records up to date and report to parents and senior staff.
  • Promote high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff, and visitors in line with the ARK START code of conduct and handbook.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care or willingness to work towards qualification. Awareness of keeping children safe, noticing safeguarding and welfare concerns, and knowing how and when to take appropriate action.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time), with a 10% pension contribution.
