Job Summary

Owens Group is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to lead our driver training program. As a Truck Driver Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering effective training programs to ensure our drivers meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing drivers, including classroom presentations and hands-on training.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all drivers meet the necessary regulatory requirements, including health and safety, driver hours, and tachograph regulations.
  • Training Materials Creation: Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, including driver handbooks and course materials.
  • Driver Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure drivers are meeting the required standards.
  • Training Program Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Driver and Training and Assessment Related qualifications (RTITB, RHA, SAFED and/or equivalent) (Desirable)
  • Experience: Development of Training Course Materials and Driver Handbooks, Understand and adhere to Legal Requirements i.e. Health & Safety
  • Skills: Full UK HGV Driving Licence, Ability to prepare effective written and visual teaching materials, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
