The Role:
- Support the breast clinics by completing mammographic imaging studies and presenting them for diagnosis.
- Work closely with our team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
- Develop your skills and expertise in diagnostic radiography, with opportunities for growth and development within the role.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct mammography studies by positioning breasts, adjusting compression mechanisms, and instructing patients to hold their breath.
- Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
- Maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures.
- Ensure operation of mammography equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
What You'll Have:
- Able to demonstrate post-qualification experience in diagnostic radiography.
- Experience in/understanding of UK diagnostic radiography.
- Desirable - Varied experience within all aspects of radiography, general/CT/MRI/US.
- Evidence of effective staff liaison and co-operative working.
- Evidence of empathetic and a holistic approach to patient care.
Qualifications and Knowledge:
- DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) in Radiography (or equivalent).
- HCPC registration.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
