Job Title: Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Emergency Department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to work in a fast-paced, acute environment, delivering high-quality care to patients with a range of conditions.

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will work autonomously to assess and treat patients, providing expert care and treatment within agreed protocols and clinical guidelines.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with nursing and medical staff to provide professional and clinical support in the care of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • To act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, demonstrating a high level of practice and knowledge whilst participating in direct evidence-based patient care.
  • To undertake health assessments and provide expert care and treatment to patients within agreed protocols and clinical guidelines.
  • To work in a variety of role dimensions, including healthcare provider, educator, researcher, clinical advocate, and implementer of clinical governance.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registered Mentor status.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of establishing effective communication.
  • Evidence of clinical competence and credibility in the specialty and relevant post-registration qualification experience.
  • Exercise a high degree of autonomy within specialist area.
  • Non-medical prescriber status.
