Our client, a new build housing developer, is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Newark. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging position and make a significant contribution to the company's success.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on new build housing projects with a housing contractor, possess strong commercial awareness, and demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Quantity Surveyor for a reputable new build housing developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling all expenditure, reconciling cost/value reports and profit forecasts, and ensuring value for money and financial assessments. Additionally, they will manage day-to-day cost control and monitoring, report on key metrics, process subcontractor requests for payment, attend project and company-related meetings, and maintain professional relationships with clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control all expenditure
  • Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
  • On-boarding of Sub contractors/suppliers
  • Ensuring value for money & financial assessments
  • Manage day to day cost control & monitoring & reporting
  • Process Sub contractor requests for payment via application & invoice
  • Attend project & company related meetings
  • Ensure timely cash flow management
  • Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree or other technical qualification, experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, and a proven track record of delivering contracts on time and within budget. It would be beneficial to hold RICS/CIOB qualifications and have knowledge of Supply Chain management.

Package
The salary for this role is up to £65,000 per annum, accompanied by an annual performance bonus, private medical, car allowance, and company pension.
