Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant Position
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team in a fantastic nursery setting. The successful candidate will support the class teacher, engage with children on a 1:1 or group basis, and help create a positive learning environment that encourages child development through play and exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the nursery team in delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Assist in the social and emotional development of children, ensuring a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
- Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to encourage children's cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Promote positive behavior and encourage children to be confident and independent.
- Work closely with the teacher and other staff to assess and monitor children's progress.
- Ensure all safeguarding policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe and caring environment.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or Childcare (essential).
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
- A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development milestones.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children.
- A passion for helping young children thrive and develop in a supportive environment.
