About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pump and Rotating Equipment Fitter to join our team at Pump Supply & Repair Group Limited.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of working with pumps, valves, blowers, motors, mechanical seals, gears, fans, and other rotating equipment.

As a Pump and Rotating Equipment Fitter, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including engineered pump overhauls, assembly, service, testing, and stripping of various pumps and associated spares.

You will work closely with our team of experienced fitters and engineers to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards and that our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineered pump overhauls, including assembly, service, testing, and stripping of various pumps and associated spares.
  • Working as part of a busy fitting and disassembly team.
  • Compiling required assembly documentation.
  • Occasional site work, including removal, re-installation, and commissioning of equipment.

This role would suit candidates with experience in the following areas: pumps, pump engineer, pump fitter, mechanical engineer, or vacuum pump engineer.

Requirements
  • Time-served fitter/engineer (C&G Level 3/BTEC O.N.C) or other relevant qualifications.
  • Good knowledge of tolerances and working to high standards.
  • Ideal knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment in industrial, chemical, power generation, Petro-chemical, and water industries.
  • Can-do approach, with flexibility to work to agreed time scales.
  • Organised and able to work to deadlines.
  • Clean and presentable appearance.
