PLC Software Engineer

We're seeking a skilled PLC Software Engineer to join our team at Kier Group.

As a PLC Software Engineer, you'll be working with our South West Water team to develop and implement PLC & HMI software, as well as configure SCADA pages for allocated projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing PLC software in line with industry standards
  • Creating functional design specifications and control philosophies
  • Contributing to final contract documentation, 'As-built' drawings, and test sheets
  • Liaising with Client's engineering and operational staff to ensure project needs are met

Requirements for this role include:

  • Experience with programming various PLC platforms using IEC 61131-3 programming languages
  • Experience in programming HMI's and configuring SCADA pages
  • Hold an industry-applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent
  • Good commercial and contractual awareness
